About

Kerala Jyothisham brings traditional Jyothisham to a clear, modern set of tools. We use defined astronomical calculations for birth charts, Panchangam, daily timings and other Kerala-focused references. Our goal is to make each result useful, traceable and easy to understand. Explore the tools directory or read the Blog.

What you can use today

The Jathakam tool displays a birth chart, Moon sign, Nakshatra and Pada, Lagna and planetary positions from the birth details you enter. The Vimshottari Dasha page displays a period timeline whose boundaries remain under validation. Separate Rashi, Nakshatra, Lagna and Grahanila pages help you examine individual chart features.

For a chosen place and date, Daily Panchangam and Daily Timings present traditional calendar and daylight intervals. The directory also includes Gochara, Sade Sati, Chandrashtama, Tarabalam, Chandrabalam and a focused birth-star Porutham comparison.

Our approach to accuracy

Accuracy is an ongoing commitment. We document the calculation method used by each tool, compare representative results with independent references and correct discrepancies as we find them. Precise birth time, birthplace coordinates and the historical time-zone offset matter, especially near a sign or period boundary. Different traditions can also use different conventions; the result should be read with its stated method.

Our calculation methods and limitations page explains the current conventions and checks in more detail. Each tool describes its own scope and current status. We will keep improving the tools as validation and feedback reveal where the calculations need refinement.
